Solo Bread is a bread focused wholesale bakery based in Birkenhead.
All of our bread is made with stoneground flour from organic wheat and rye, grown within 50 miles of the bakery. We buy grain direct from the farmer and our grain is milled to order on 300 year old french burr stones by David Howell in Staffordshire. The fresh flour and stone milling contributes a unique flavour and texture to bread. Paired with long fermentation that all of our breads undergo, it make a highly nutritious and digestible sourdough.
